Classic Registration Number Plate

From 1 July 2024, a new number plate will be available for vehicles in the Classic Vehicle Scheme (CVS). The new number plate replaces the Conditional number plate traditionally issued to vehicles in the scheme. It will be automatically issued to new CVS registrations and available to be purchased for a one-off fee for existing vehicles in the scheme at the time of registration renewal.

The new number plate size and design better fits classic vehicles, without needing alterations to the plate or the mounting. It also includes the word ‘Classic’ to enhance the authenticity of classic vehicles and to help differentiate classic vehicles from other vehicles.

Remember to submit your engineers report at time of processing your documents. This applies to new and renewal registrations.
